The Function of the OSRDA

(a) To promote Fellowship through square dancing and to correlate and integrate the activities of affiliated clubs, such as attempting to regulate the various party nights hosted by these clubs in the Okanagan.

(b) To acquire property, chattels, funds etc. and to hold, develop and use the same for the benefit of the Association; to sell, lease, mortgage, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the property of the Association.

There are four Meetings held each dancing season, on the 3rd. Sunday of October, January, February and April which are attended by delegates and/or alternates that are elected/appointed from each affiliate club.  Two of these meetings include a joint meeting with the OCCA.

The Chairperson/President; Vice-President; Treasurer; Secretary; Publicity Chairperson and Historian are usually elected from these delegates and/or alternates, but, these positions may also be filled by affiliated club members. Click here for Executive

A Click here Party Night system is in effect that designates a weekly Saturday night dance in each "north" and each "south" area of the valley, with the "floating bridge" being the dividing line.
